Storytelling

(Oral Communication)

What is storytelling?

Storytelling describes the social and cultural activity of sharing stories in a community set up, sometimes with improvisation, theatrics or embellishment. Every culture has its own stories or narratives, which are shared as a means of entertainment, education, cultural preservation or instilling moral values. The same is applied to the biblical passages to bring out the social good and evils in the society, which in-turn bring a great transformation the society.

What is storytelling method?

Storytelling is a means for sharing and interpreting experiences. ... Storytelling can be used as a method to teach ethics, values and cultural norms and differences. Learning is most effective when it takes place in social environments that provide authentic social cues about how knowledge is to be applied.

What is effective storytelling?

Effective storytelling involves a deep understanding of human emotions, motivations, and psychology in order to truly move an audience. Luckily, storytelling is something we all do naturally, starting at a very young age.

We had been doing this method for the past 6 years in our mission field and we see a great transformation in the society and we won many souls to the kingdom of God. If you need Storytelling method training for your church, please contact us.
